Germinating Marijuana seeds

MEANT FOR EDUCATION AND NOT THE INTENT OF ILLEGAL ACTIONS

Germination of your seeds is a very important time in your seeds life. For this we need to be very careful with them and make sure we are using proper seeds.

Good seeds are usually dark in color with darker spot or stripes on these seeds. Most beginning growers use "bag seeds", seeds that they got from a bag of bud.

example of good bag seeds

Some materials required for germination are paper towels, a tupper ware container or a plastic bag and clean, filtered water is always best.

First you want to get 3 paper towels and wet all 3 of them, not dripping but nice and damp. Place one of these towels into the tupperware container and the seeds on top of that. after place the next 2 towels on top of the seeds and make sure u press down a little around the seeds so that its making a lot of contact with the towels. Store these seeds in a warm dark area (around 73-78F) and check back on these twice daily. While checking make sure to fan in some fresh air and try to resist touching the seeds, they're trying to grow. When a white tip appears from the seeds, the root is starting to sprout. Watch and make sure the root doesn't curl over as this will later cause problems in weakness.

Now your starting to begin your grow and need to move onto planting these. I tend to use "Jiffy pots" because the roots can grow right through them. Less transferring of the plants is better. Ready your soil and water well and let drain for 10 to 20 minutes. Poke holes about 1-2in. deep in the soil, place seeds in with the white root pointing down. Try not to move them around to much or you might break off the root. Cover the seeds with loose soil and then cover pots with something to retain the moisture.

Good Luck Growing :)
